Is the military my future?

I believe, that bieng in the military is not the only way to "serve your country". In the Czech Republic, there used to be a drafting system, where after graduating you MUST serve in the military. Recently, that has been changed, and now you do not need to serve if you dont choose to. I'm happy about that, because I would NEVER want to work for the military. I believe that war and fighting is not the only way to solve a conflict. The "enemies" you would be trying to kill are also people with other lives and other families. You dont even know them, and now you are sent out to destroy them. Another reason I dont want to be in the military, is fear for my own life, and for my family and friends. There is so much more to live for, so why die at the age of 24?
